Which humanoid robots are coming in 2027?

Four dated arrivals define 2027 so far. Tesla has targeted the end of 2027 for the first public sales of Optimus, with Gen 3 low-volume production starting at Fremont in mid-2026. Boston Dynamics says all 2026 Atlas units go to Hyundai and Google DeepMind and external customers wait until 2027, at an estimated $150,000 to $250,000. 1X ships NEO internationally in 2027 after US deliveries in 2026. Weave takes Isaac 1 across the US in 2027 after California this autumn. Behind them, Unitree's next generation and a wave of Chinese makers who shipped about 97 percent of the world's humanoids in the first half of 2026.

Which humanoid robots have a 2027 date from the maker?

The first two are the ones people ask about, and the useful reading of both is "later than it sounds": trackers who follow Tesla closely translate "end of 2027" into a fourth-quarter start with very limited units, and Hyundai's own parts-sequencing production with Atlas begins in 2028, with a dedicated plant targeting 30,000 units a year by then.

What will the humanoid robots you can already buy look like in 2027?

Cheaper and more numerous. Unitree targets up to 20,000 units in 2026 against 5,500 in 2025, listed on Shanghai's STAR Market in August 2026, and has cut the G1 from $16,000 to $13,500 in eighteen months. Its full-size H2 at $29,900 and the R1 compact fill out the range. One industry tracker counted 19,000 to 22,000 humanoids shipped worldwide in the first half of 2026, with Chinese makers at about 97 percent. Expect the sub-$5,000 tier that Noetix and Unitree opened to have several entrants by 2027, and the G1's price to move again. The maker map behind those numbers is in Who makes humanoid robots?.

Figure 03 crossed 1,000 units built at Figure's BotQ plant in July 2026 and remains enterprise-only; a consumer version has been talked about and not dated. Which announcements should you not plan around?

Two European and Chinese names sit between dated and undated: NEURA's 4NE-1 has a price signal (from about €98,000) and a "coming soon" status, and XPENG Iron, the carmaker's humanoid, has a stage debut and no price. Both are worth a line in the calendar and not a deposit.

Anything else without a maker's date and a price signal. That includes most stage reveals from the more than fifty companies with a humanoid prototype, the "consumer Figure", and any Optimus price quoted as a fact rather than a target. We compared the dated claims on this page with what had actually happened by September 2026: Atlas production began in January as announced, Unitree's volumes and its listing landed, and the Optimus Gen 3 ramp started at Fremont; the undated claims, from a consumer Figure to an Optimus price, still have no date. Our rule in the calendar is one line: a robot goes in when the maker names a quarter.

What changes for buyers and owners in 2027?

Three things. Prices fall again in the tier you can buy, which favours waiting if you have no use for a robot this year and favours buying if you do, because the event rate you can charge is highest while robots are scarce; that trade-off is worked through in Can a humanoid robot pay for itself?. And rules begin: the EU has been reported to be preparing humanoid-specific provisions for commercial settings in 2027, which will shape what a venue can host.
