Why it matters
EVE is the robot 1X ran in real workplaces for years before NEO existed. What the company says about safe actuators and learning from real tasks was tested on this machine first.
What it can do
Moves on a wheeled base rather than legs, with a humanoid torso, two arms and gripper hands for opening doors, moving items and patrolling. 1X has shown it chaining several tasks in a row from spoken instructions.
The company
1X began as Halodi Robotics in Norway and released EVE in 2018 for logistics, security and healthcare settings. In 2022 the company became 1X and turned toward the home, which led to NEO.
